Placement of Emergency Response Numbers

Columbia County ordinance Title 28 states all Emergency Response Number Signs are to be placed approximately five (5) feet to the right (facing the home) of the driveway right-of-way at the edge of the road right-of-way.

The Town of West Point places each Emergency Response Number Signs for each town resident in the correct location.

It is very important NOT to move the Emergency Response Number Sign as emergency (fire and ambulance) look for the signs to be in the correct location.

Notice to the Public

****Wisconsin Broadband Survey****

As you know, more and more work that students do at school is Internet-based.  Students without Internet access at home are often unable to do their homework.  The equity gap that this situation creates is a serious problem for these students.

The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) is conducting a statewide survey to gather information about residential Internet access throughout the state.  The survey gives families in your area the opportunity to tell service providers if they need better or more affordable Internet access – or don’t have access at all.

The survey, located at http://psc.wi.gov/broadbandSurvey.htm, takes about 5 minutes to complete.

Households that do not have home access to the Internet can take the survey by phone (877-360-2973). It is especially important for these households to take the survey, so that PSCW and Internet providers know the location of all households that do not have high-quality, affordable Internet access.

Please take advantage of this opportunity for your families’ voices to be heard regarding broadband!
